Locking elements reduce the chance of spring plunger movement due to vibration. The conventional choice for thread locking has been a polyamide (nylon) patch or pellet. These generally perform well at holding the spring plunger in place, but they provide one-time holding power—if the spring plunger needs to be removed or adjusted, the threadlocking capability is gone.
Thread lock solves this problem, by offering a polyamide locking element that can withstand adjustment or removal and replacement up to 20 times without significant loss of holding power. By providing a durable locking element, KIPP ball plungers with thread lock provide excellent value.

Hexagon Socket Ball Plungers with thread lock
A hexagon socket on the bottom of the plunger allows for the use of a hex wrench. The depth of the socket results in a longer overall length for the plunger.
