Gas springs

For controlled opening, holding and closing

KIPP is expanding its range with new steel and stainless steel gas springs. These maintenance-free damping elements support the controlled opening, holding and closing of hatches, covers and movable components and are suitable for applications in machine construction, medical technology and vehicle and plant construction.

Individually adaptable force assistance

This new series K2517 (steel) and K2518 (stainless steel) enables precise adaption to various movement processes. The extension forces can be precisely matched to the respective application by individually filling the springs with the required gas pressure. This can be readjusted as required via an integrated filling valve.

Robust materials for different application areas

The steel version has a steel pressure tube and a hard chrome-plated piston rod and is particularly suitable for economical industrial applications. For corrosion-critical environments, KIPP offers a stainless steel version with a 1.4301 stainless steel pressure tube and piston rod made from 1.4305 stainless steel.

Flexible integration

As standard, the gas springs are available with piston rod diameters 6 to 14 mm and travels of 40 to 400 mm. Connection threads both ends enable the combination with various connections and fittings made from steel or stainless steel and facilitate integration into a wide variety of constructions.

Durable and maintenance-free

Designed for temperatures of -20 °C to +80 °C, these gas springs operate maintenance-free over their entire service life. They therefore offer a reliable solution for applications in which permanently controlled movement processes and a high level of operational reliability are required.
