Secure holding

Steel and stainless steel latches

KIPP Inc. supplies a quality assortment of latches for closing tanks, lids, doors, and all sorts of industrial applications. Nearly all feature stainless steel versions for use in wet locations. Now available from the Michigan warehouse, the latches provide additional options to customers in North America.

Non-adjustable latches

The »K0043 series of latches features an arched pull made of spring steel. The spring tension of the pull, in conjunction with the over-center design of the latch itself, makes this latch vibration resistant. The »K0044 and »K0045 latches feature a draw bail for secure over-center latching.

Optional catch plates are available for all three styles.

Adjustable latches

Latch group »K0046 features a pull with a threaded spindle, allowing the latch to be adjusted for ideal locking tension. The over-center design is vibration resistant, and available in three configurations: plain, with padlock eye, and with a safety spring clip. Material options include steel or stainless steel, with three styles of catch plates available (optional). For a larger latch of the same design, see group »K0048.

Latch group »K0047 is similar, but the mounting screws are hidden in this design. For a larger latch of the same design, see group »K0049.

Latch group »K0050 has an D-shaped bail on a threaded spindle that allows for easy adjustment, in steel or stainless steel. For a larger, stronger version, see group »K0051.

The »K0052 heavy-duty latch is the strongest and largest latch offered by KIPP. With forged construction and a ratchet to prevent unintentional opening, it is well suited to utility vehicles, agricultural applications, and heavy machinery. It is galvanized for durability.

Two styles of catch plate are offered: bolt-on (galvanized to match the latch) or weldable (natural finish; to be painted or coated with the item to which it is welded).
